Product overview

Bespoke aluminium roof lanterns for extensions and orangeries

Aluminium roof lanterns sit proud of the flat roof surface, creating a raised glazed structure that floods the space below with natural light from multiple angles. The thermally broken aluminium ridge and rafter system delivers slim sightlines that maximise the glazed area whilst maintaining structural integrity.

The polyamide thermal break reduces cold bridging and condensation risk. Argon-filled double or triple glazed units achieve U-values as low as 0.7 W/m²K. Available in a range of standard sizes or fully bespoke to your exact roof opening dimensions, with ridge vents available for natural ventilation.

All frames are finished in T5 powder coat in any RAL colour — including popular heritage shades for period properties. CE marked to EN 14351-1. Supplied bespoke to your exact dimensions with an 8–10 week lead time. We supply to homeowners, architects and builders across London, Essex and the South East.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a roof lantern and a rooflight?

A roof lantern sits proud of the roof surface as a raised glazed structure, flooding the space below with light from multiple angles. A rooflight (or flat rooflight) sits flush or near-flush with the roof surface. Both are available in our thermally broken aluminium range.

Can aluminium roof lanterns be triple glazed?

Yes. Triple glazed units (TGU) achieving U-values of 0.7 W/m²K are available — particularly recommended for roof lanterns where heat loss through the roof plane can be significant.

Are aluminium roof lanterns available in any colour?

Yes. All our aluminium roof lanterns are finished in T5 powder coat in any RAL colour — including heritage shades for period properties and popular contemporary colours such as anthracite grey and black.

What is the lead time for an aluminium roof lantern?

8–10 weeks from order confirmation. CAD design drawings are provided for approval before manufacture.
